Hurry up and live!
This morning, I’m working with the following individuals*:
Joshua is a respected attorney who has been stressed for so long that his life seems to be unraveling.
Trudy is navigating a complex, unwanted divorce after 15 years of marriage.
Benjamin is a surgeon whose wife and children have had enough of his temper. His anger is also causing problems with his staff.
Edward struggles with the guilt and anxiety of PTSD after a traumatic experience.
I love working with them… and I would love to work with you!
So, what’s it like to work with me?
In our first meeting,
You’ll have the chance to describe what’s going on in your life and what changes you want to make.
I’ll listen intently, checking in with you to make sure I’m clear on what you’re dealing with and what you want to accomplish.
Once we’re both confident we’re on the same page, I’ll describe and explain how we’ll apply the Stoa Life ystem to improve your life (it’s a straightforward, transparent process for achieving your goals and making lasting change).
I’ll answer any questions you might have, and once you’re ready, we’ll begin the work!
Our approach to therapy is unique.
First, we won’t get stuck in the past. We’ll focus on the present, helping you achieve your desired outcomes.
Second, progress won’t be limited to the therapy room. There will be homework assignments to help you practice and master new skills in the real world.
Like most therapy experiences, you can count on a safe, supportive environment for your transformation.
Progress will come quickly – in three phases.
Phase 1: You’ll learn the concepts and begin implementing the ideas using techniques to bring them to life.
Phase 2: As you broaden your skills, the progress you experience will create momentum that accelerates your movement forward.
Phase 3: You’ll have the confidence you need to work through the system on your own.
Throughout each phase, I’ll monitor your progress to ensure we move at a pace that’s most beneficial to you.
“Give a man a fish.”
We’re here to teach you to fish so you can live abundantly for the rest of your life!
At the end of therapy, you will operate calmly and clearly. You’ll have learned how to “be your therapist” – to help yourself by applying the system to new challenges whenever they come up.
I can’t wait to share our system with you!

Hi, I’m David.
Like you, I’ve been through tough challenges.
I believe in the Stoa Life System because it’s rooted in decades of research and my 15 years of clinical work. However, my personal experience inspired me to specialize in this approach.
I was a Navy Hospital Corpsman for three years and had a 21-year career as a Connecticut law enforcement officer. Throughout my career, I experienced all the typical stressors that police encounter while performing their duties.
Predictably, I found myself increasingly angry, anxious, and disillusioned. As I pulled away from others, it led to further consequences, including divorce.
Stoa Life made a big difference for me.
After retiring from law enforcement, I pursued education and training as a therapist. During that time, I noticed that clients instructed in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) were making significant progress in a relatively short period.
Inspired, I immersed myself in CBT training. I earned advanced certifications from the Albert Ellis Institute and the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists. As I gained more clinical experience, I added components of Stoicism, a time-tested philosophy that further enhanced the effectiveness of CBT.
Applying the system to my own life resulted in profound positive changes. Rather than ending up isolated and embittered, I live a life of clarity and calm. Like everyone else, my life contains many challenges, but I’m content thanks to the Stoa Life process.
It’s time to take the next step and reach out. I’ll be glad to talk with you!
