Meet with staff and identify together the parameters of the services that your company can provide. While it’s important to satisfy the customer, there are always limits to what you can do. After all, some customers can be radically unreasonable. So, what are the limits?

Once the boundaries have been set, your staff will likely calm down (without boundaries people tend to become anxious).

Remind your staff to do one task at a time. Even if the costumers have made multiple demands, each person can only do one task at a time.

Also, encourage them to practice relaxation by taking calming breaths and visualizing being calm when dealing with the customer/situation. Visualizing is important because it will help prepare them for the real event (That’s why elite athletes visualize).

It’s also important to maintain communication with staff so that they’re supported, teamwork is fostered, and morale is optimized.

By tackling stress through communication, setting clear boundaries, and fostering a supportive work environment, you can help your people manage client demands more effectively.

The best to you.
