Are you the Go-To person at work?

Are you the Go-To person in the family?

Are you the Go-To person at work and in the family?

Being the Go-To person can be very gratifying. The role lends itself to enjoying a sense of purpose and satisfaction when you solve someone else’s problem.

Many of my clients have played that role all their lives. In their younger years, they had the energy and personal equity to solve other people’s problems.

As they get older, they realize that they don’t have the energy or the mental capacity to continue the GO-TO role. Glimpsing into the future they foresee an outcome of burn-out and resentment. They also realize that their own interests have been subordinated to the agendas of others.

How is it for you?

After a lifetime of this habit, creating boundaries and prioritizing you can be challenging. It requires a new mindset and changes in behavior. In addition, many people around you will be unhappy with the new boundaries that you’re setting.

But the change is worth making as you enhance the quality of your life by prioritizing You

Don’t wait until you’re burned out.  Start making the change soon.

You’re worth it!

The very best to you.
